Worth Knowing
DashPass overlaps with grocery delivery
DashPass covers restaurant and grocery delivery. If you already have a grocery delivery pass, check for double coverage before subscribing.
Annual plans lock in savings — but lock you in
Uber One's annual plan saves $19.89/yr and DashPass saves $23.88/yr. But Lyft Pink's annual plan ($199) actually costs more than paying monthly ($119.88/yr) — so only go monthly with Lyft.
The 5% ride discount is small
On a $20 ride, 5% saves you $1. You'd need ~10 rides/month just to break even on the $9.99 fee. Delivery perks usually add more value for most users.
Free trials are common
All three services regularly offer 1-month free trials for new subscribers. Try before you commit — but set a reminder to cancel if it's not worth it.
